Causality between Dpression and Stress in Children using Community Child Centers

The purpose of this study is to identify the causal relationship between stress and depression in children using Community Child Centers. The results of analysis using the Autoregressive Cross-Lagged model for the second and third (2014) to fourth (2017) data of the children s panel at the Community Child Center showed that depression affects stress, It was not affected. In other words, the stress generation model and the stress vulnerability theory explain the depression and stress relationship of the early adolescents better than the stress exposure model and the stress depression intercycle effect model. This study emphasizes the need for attention and proper intervention of mental health, such as depression and stress, in children using a Community Child Center. And Community Child Centers should develop and disseminate children s depression management and anti-depressive programs. In addition, the research suggests that in-depth research is needed to investigate the relationship between stress and depression, and to investigate whether Community Child Centers are appropriately coping and intervening with depression and stress in children.
