Development of Production Management System for Smart Sewing Factory

The domestic sewing industry has witnessed a deep unification phenomenon due to the high age of the technical personnel, the lack of specialized personnel, and the increase in imported clothes. The industry therefore intends to develop automatic sewing machines and smart modules that make two-way real time communication possible by facilitating the Internet of Things and information and communication technologies, as well as a production processing management system for systematic production and processing management. Through the workflow and sewing machine production data, I successfully identified specific management factors that impact each clothing production process and developed the contents required in the clothing production process to develop a clothing production management system. This analysis of the Smart Factory Production Management System and development of the functions to collect/monitor production output data enable us to conduct central management and analyze the production process on based on individual process, which enables management to take preventive measures against possible bottlenecks in the production process and manage the production schedule. Furthermore, the introduction of dedicated machines designed to simplify and streamline the process is expected to enhance productivity in the manufacturing factory.
