충주 고구려비 관련 학술행사의 회고와 정리

Retrospect and summary of academic conferences on Chungju Goguryeo Stele

한반도 유일의 고구려 비석인 충주 고구려비는 1979년 발견 후 많은 관심을 받아왔고 관련 연구도 활발히 이루어졌다. 충주 고구려비를 둘러싼 제논의는 사실상 발견 당해와 20년이 지난 후 치러진 두 차례의 판독 작업과 학술회의장에서 이루어졌다. 그리고 발견 40주년을 기념해 행해진 2019년의 판독회와 당해에 개최된 두 차례의 학술회의에서도 적지 않은 성과들이 나왔다. 이처럼 학술행사는 충주 고구려비 연구의 촉매제 역할을 하며 관련 연구 성과의 확산과 수준을 향상시키는 데 결정적 역할을 하였다. 그 자체로도 연구사적 의미를 가진다고 평가할 만하다. 그러므로 그에 대한 회고와 정리는 반드시 필요한 작업이다.

The only remaining monument of Goguryeo on the Korean Peninsula, Chungju Goguryeo Stele, has been attracting much attention since its discovery in 1979. Also, many studies related to it are being conducted. The main discussion on the monument was held at the reading and academic conferences held at the time of discovery and 20 years later. In addition, many achievements were made in the two academic conferences held in 2019 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the monument. As such, academic events served as a catalyst for the study of the Chungju Goguryeo Stele and played a decisive role in spreading the relevant research results and improving their level. In itself, it is worth noting that it has great significance in research history. Therefore, it is urgently needed to retrospect and summary the academic events.
