Activity of council and internet uses : Focusing on local council of sixteen

The aim of this study is to examine the actual patters internet uses in sixteen korea local council s, and suggest some ways of extending its uses in them. For the purpose, this study reviews, first, less concern about the utilization of internet page designed for online interactions citizens and local councils, second, less concern about citizen participation to be induced by internet, third, no preventive measures to citizens personal attack messages, fourth, are more tendency to use internet for providing netizens with simple introductory data. This study recommended following results. First, information about councils activities and their results be constructed into various databases, more advanced applications in internet pages be developed. Second, try to local councils independently operate internet homepages for their own uses. Third, information awareness of local council members be improved. Fourth, be constructed to information support system for councils activities. Fifth, cyber-auditing be extended as internet application.
