셀트족 사회와 문화에서의 드루이드(Druide)의 역할과 디비씨악(Diviciac)에 대한 연구

A Study on the Role of Druide and Diviciac in Celtic Society and Culture

이 논문의 목적은 셀트족 사회와 문화에서 드루이드가 차지하고 있는 위치와 그 역할에 대한 분석을 통해 우리에게 잘 알려져 있지 않은 유럽 문화의 근본에 대한 해석을 재조명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 다양한 연구 자료를 기본으로 드루이드가 단지 제사장이나 마법사 혹은 주술사로서의 기능 등의 제한적인 역할이 아니라 사회, 경제, 문화, 교육, 행정. 군사에 이르기까지 셀트 사회의 모든 분야에 지도적 역할을 해왔음을 강조하였다. 또한 유일한 실존인물로 알려진 디비씨악과 함께 골루와족이 시저에게 정복당하게 되는 중요한 시대적 배경에 대해 살펴보았다.

So far, we have examined the role of Druide in celtic society and Diviciac, the only Druide existing in history concerning conquest background of Gaulluois tribe by Ceaser. In the process of analyzing content about Druides, we found that they have performed not only the function of a chief priest, a wizard or a magician, but also leading roles across the whole fields in Celtic society, such as related to society, economy, culture, education, administration and military. We also learned that they have been trained under strict rules in order to perform the roles. With Diviciac, the real Druide from literature, we also have searched the important periodical background when Gaulluois tribe was subjugated by Ceasar. We found the certain situation how Ceasar was given the reason to conquer Gaulluois tribe, and the critical assessment on Diviciac, who was the leader of Druide and the tribe at that time. Despite the appraisal of whether Diviciac actually betrayed his tribe or not, we cannot help saying he is a very important person as a real existence, for the research of the roles won by Druides and of society of Celtic and Gaulluois tribes.
