시민 참여 역량 함양을 위한 도덕과 프로젝트 수업 연구

Implementing the Project Approach in Moral & Ethics Education for the Development of Civil Participation Competency

시민 참여 역량이란 사회의 능동적인 구성원으로서 자발적 관심과 비판적 시각을 바탕으로 타인과 공동체의 여건을 개선하고 발전시키기 위해 참여하는 역량을 일컫는다. 이 연구는 도덕과 윤리적 시민 교육이 학생들을 세상에 바람직한 변화를 불러오기 위해 능동적으로 참여하는 시민으로 육성해야 한다는 점에 착안하여, 시민 참여 역량을 증진하기 위한 도덕과 프로젝트 수업 방법을 구체적으로 제시하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이에 이 연구는 도덕과 프로젝트 수업이 학생들의 시민 참여 역량 함양에 어떤 효과가 있는지 밝히고, 학생들의 시민 참여 역량 신장을 위해 도덕과 프로젝트 수업이 어떻게 이뤄져야 하는지 체계적으로 규명한 뒤 실제 적용 사례를 함께 제시하였다.

Civil participation competency refers to the ability to participate as an active citizen of society to improve and develop the conditions of others and communities based on voluntary interest and critical views. This study was conducted with the aim of presenting concretely the method of project approach of moral & ethics education to promote civil participation competency, with the view that ethical civic education in school moral classes should foster students as citizens who actively participate in order to bring about desirable changes in the world. In response, this study revealed how project approach of moral & ethics education are effective in fostering students civil participation competency, systematically clarifying how project approach of moral & ethics education should be conducted to enhance students civil participation competency, and presented actual application cases together.
