Discussion and Explanation on Bronze Objects from the Yeongnam Region

嶺南지역의 靑銅器副葬墓를 통해서 기원전 1세기에 大邱, 安康, 外東, 乾川, 昌原 등지에서 최고 우두머리의 무덤이 위치하는 바, 이들 지역을 중심으로 國이 형성되었다. 그 國의 우두머리는 기원전 1세기 전반까지는 祭義를 主帝하는 祭司長으로서의 성격을 갖다가, 1세기 후반 이후는 그렇지 않게 된다. 청동기는 國 內部的으로 交換 또는 再分配되거나, 國 外部로 貿易된다. 遠距離 貿易은 기원 전후한 시기에 大邱-慶州圈을 중심으로 漢那縣으로부터의 수입 위주, 기원 1세기 이후는 金海圈을 중심으로 日本으로부터의 수출 위주로 활발하게 전개된다. 인접한 國과의 近距離 貿易도 활발하게 이루어졌음이 武器와 車與具, 倣製鏡등으로 확인 된다. 이러한 國 외부의 무역과 國 내부의 교환을 통하여 辰弁韓 小國의 발전이 이루어진다. 영남지역에서는 일본처럼 安程性을 띤 청동기 埋納儀禮를 통한 제사는 시행되지 않았던 것으로 보인다. 그러나 海上安全이나 避邪를 祈願하는 목적으로 巫具를 地中保管하기 위해 땅에 청동기를 埋納하였을 可能性도 있다. 삼국지 기록에 나오는 蘇塗, 天君, 鐸舞와는 銅鈴具와 凍鐸이 관련있어 보인다. 그러나 고고학 자료와 문헌기록간에 시기적 차이가 있으므로, 추론함에 신중할 필요가 있다.

This article tries to explain the social, economic and religous matters of the Chin Byeon Han (辰弁韓) Society in the Yeongnam Region. It can be confirmed that ‘Kuk’(國) Polities had been formed since 2nd,-1st C.B.C. in the Yeongnam Ragion according to the study of tombs yielding bronze grave goods. The buried are assumed to have been Priest-king before the 1st C.B.C. and after then their roles had been changed from the analysis of bronze burial accessories. The trade between ‘Kuk’ polities and excange in those polities which can be inferred from the typologial similarities of bronze artefacts, promoted the growth of ‘Kuk’s and their political integration in this region. Bronze artefacts are also assumed to be used to ritual purpose through hoarding them into the underground them by the examples of excavated archaeologial data and written records in ‘Sankuochi’(三國志)
