木棺墓에서 木槨墓로의 轉換樣相에 대한 檢討

A Study on the transition aspect from Wooden-coffin Tomb to Wooden-chamber Tomb

본고는 목관묘에서 목곽묘로 전환되면서 나타나는 여러 양상들 중에서 지역적 차이와 그 배경 파악에 초점을 맞추어 작성하였다. 이를 위해 분묘의 여러 속성-축조유형, 평면형태와 묘광면적, 침향과 장축방향, 부장위치-을 검토하였고 개개 속성을 유형화한 뒤 분포권을 설정하였다. 이 분포권을 통해 초기목곽묘의 지역권을 구분하였다. 지역권은 크게 동남해안지역과 북서내륙지역으로 나눌 수 있다. 북서내륙지역에서 확인되는 목곽묘에는 목관묘의 습속이 많이 잔존해 있는 반면, 동남해안지역은 목관묘와는 확연히 다른 모습을 보인다. 목곽묘 속성 검토를 통해 목곽묘로의 전환은 내재적 발전에 의해 형성된 기반 위에 외부자극이 촉진되면서 발생한 것으로 생각해 볼 수 있다. 내재적 발전 요인은 농업생산력, 외부자극은 다양한 문물과 사상 유입에 의한 것으로 추정된다. 특히, 외부자극에서 중요한 역할을 담당했던 것은 교역으로 판단된다.목곽묘로 전환되는 시점에 교역망의 중심이 동남해안지역으로 재편된다. 이로 인해 각 지역의 사회상도 전시기와는 다른 양상을 보이는데 이러한 양상은 분묘를 통해서도 표출된다. 즉, 동남해안지역의 목곽묘에서는 급격한 변화, 북서내륙지역에서는 점진적인 변화를 보이는 것이다. 이러한 차이는 당시 문물이 중심지에 일차적으로 파급된 다음 주변지역으로 확산되는 양상을 반영하거나 북서내륙지역의 토착세력이 강해 신진문물을 수용하는데 상대적으로 소극적이었을 가능성을 상정할 수 있다.

This paper is drawn up with the focus on understanding of background and the regional difference among transition aspects occurred by conversion from wooden-coffin tomb to wooden-chamber tomb. For the purpose of this, I investigate the important attribute of tombs and relics that the type of construction(築造類型), the size and plane form of tomb(墓壙面積, 平面形態), the direction of locating dead body s head and the major axis of tomb(枕向, 長軸方向) and burial accessories location(副葬位置), settle the type of attribute and establish regional area(地役圈) that East-South coast region(東南海岸地域) and North-West inland region(北西內陸地域). Wooden-chamber tomb aspects in North-West inland region was similar to Wooden-coffin Tomb, but in East-South coast region very different. On the basis of investigation, I assert possibility that transition from Wooden-coffin tomb to Wooden-chamber tomb was occurred by exterior stimulus on the basis of inner development. And I assume that inner development was the productive capacity of agriculture and exterior stimulus was the inflow of various institutions, things and thoughts. Especially trade play an important role in exterior stimulus. East-South coast region became the center of trade network in the time that the appearance of Wooden-chamber tomb. And this phenomenon gave impetus to society aspects that was different to each region and showed by Wooden-chamber tomb. Wooden-chamber tomb in East-South coast region changed rapidly but that in North-West inland region was gradually. This difference suggests that society in North-West inland region accepted new culture through the center of trade or took a negative attitude to new civilization.
