A Restoration of the Dwelling Pit Structure : A Case Study on the Settlement Sites in Kwanchang-ri, Boryeong

保寧 寬倉里遺蹟에서는 모두 195기의 주거지가 조사되어 단일 유적으로는 중서부지역에서 조사면적이나 주거지의 수적인 면에서 규모가 큰 유적 가운데 하나이다. 특히 일부 주거지를 제외한 대부분의 주거지가 松菊里型에 속해 중서부지역의 송국리형 주거지와 유적의 구성과 조직을 연구하는데 중요한 자료이다.본고에서는 관창리유적에서 조사된 송국리형 주거지의 구조와 특징을 세부적으로 검토하고 이를 통하여 복원을 시도하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 주거지의 평면형태에 따라 원형과 방형, 그리고 주혈의 배치에 따라 4주식과 2주식의 주거지로 구분하였다. 이러한 구분을 통해 4주식과 2주식은 면적과 분포에서 많은 차이를 보이는 반면 평면형태의 차이점은 큰 의미를 갖지 않는 것으로 파악되었다. 주거지 구조에 있어서 내부에 설치된 타원형수혈의 경우 도구를 제작하고 정리하는 용도로 추정하였다. 주혈은 4주식과 2주식으로 대별되며, 대형 주거지에는 4주식, 소형 주거지에는 2주식으로 통용되었다. 그리고 출입구는 타원형수혈 장축과 직교하는 방향에 설치되는 것이 보통이며, 이를 바탕으로 주거지의 유형을 대별하여 각 유형의 특징과 성격을 살펴보았다.

In Kwanchang-ri sites of Boryeong, the total of 195 dwellings were found. As a single site of ruins, it is one of the larger ruins in the central and western districts of Korea in terms of the size of investigation area or the count of dwellings. In particular, most of the dwellings, with the exception of a few, are of Songkuk-ri type. Therefore, it is an important site for studying composition and organization of Songkuk-ri type dwellings and ruins in the central and western districts. In this study, the structures and characteristics of Songkuk-ri type dwellings found in Kwanchang-ri sites were examined in detail and restoration of them was attempted accordingly. For this, the dwellings were firstly categorized into round and square types according to their ground plans and into 2-pillared and 4-pillared types(2주식과 4주식) according to the arrangement of bores for pillars. Through this categorization, it was observed that, while the 2-pillared and 4-pillared types displayed significant differences in terms of size and distribution, there was no significant difference observed in terms of the ground plans of the dwellings. In terms of the structure of dwellings, use of the oval-shaped pits installed inside is estimated to be for manufacturing and organizing tools. Pillar bores are represented with 2-pillared and 4-pillared types. In general, 4-pillared type was used for large-sized dwellings and 2-pillared type for smaller ones. On the basis of such findings, characteristics and features of each dwelling type were examined.
