영남지방 출토 劍把附銅劍ㆍ鐵劍에 대한 小考

Study on the bronze and iron dagger with handle excavated from Yeongnam province

소위 변ㆍ진한지역이라고 할 수 있는 경산, 경주, 대구, 김해, 부산, 울산 등 영남지방에서는 목관묘에서 목곽묘로 발전하는 단계에 동반하는 결합형 검파부동검ㆍ철검(劍把附銅劍ㆍ鐵劍) 조립양상에 있어 두 그룹의 지역 패턴이 보인다. 경주, 경산, 성주 지역 그룹(Ⅰ)과 김해, 창원, 울산 지역 그룹(Ⅱ)이다. 촉금구(鏃金具)에 상당하는 검파부(劍把部)의 횡폭(橫幅)이 4.4 미만인 Ⅰ그룹의 검파부(劍把部)는 일체형과 결합형 두 가지의 조립양식이 시간성과 관계없이 혼재하는 양상을 보인다. 반면 촉금구(鏃金具)에 상당하는 검파부(劍把部)의 횡폭(橫幅)이 4.4 이상인 Ⅱ그룹의 그것은 일체형에서 결합형으로의 시간성을 가진다. 이 같은 양상은 영남지방에 수용된 검파부동검ㆍ철검(劍把附銅劍ㆍ鐵劍)의 재지적 발전단계로 이해될 수 있으며, 특히 김해, 창원, 울산 지역 그룹에서는 주조기술의 발달과 함께 결합형 검파부(劍把部)로의 발전 혹은 반부(盤部)의 기능을 촉금구(鏃金具)의 확장으로 대체하는 양상이 관찰된다. 이는 반부(盤部)의 탈락과 촉금구(鏃金具) 확장에 의한 검파부(劍把部)의 개별 주조로 이해될 수 있으며 주조기술의 발전과 더불어 목제 자루와 청동제 파부(把部)의 기능 중복을 피하는 양상으로 발전한다. Ⅰ그룹에 해당하는 동검ㆍ철검(銅劍ㆍ鐵劍)이 제의적이고 위세적인 면이 강하다면, Ⅱ그룹에 해당하는 그것은 실용적으로 청동 주조 부위를 줄이면서 기능을 극대화하는 노력이 반영된 것으로 추정할 수 있다.

Bronze and iron daggers with handle excavated from Yeongnam province are classified two group to put together parts of handle when burial coffin had been developed to chamber in Samhan period. There are GyeongjuㆍGyeongsanㆍSeongju linking group(Ⅰ), GimhaeㆍChangweonㆍUlsan linking group(Ⅱ). It’s observed all together single body type(일체형) and union type(결합형) without time order in group(Ⅰ) width of handle 4.4㎝ or less. But the single body type had been changed to the union type with time order in group(Ⅱ) width of handle 4.4㎝ and more. The two group like that should be realized the developing step itself in Yeongnam province after reception technique making bronze and iron dagger with handle. Specially the group(Ⅱ) could be characterized not only assembling method develop to handle of union type with casting technique but hand guard(盤部) function is substituted for enlargement width of handle. It could be understand falling hand-guard off, enlargement width of handle had led separate casting. The wood handle(목제 자루), bronze handle wrap(청동제 把部) had been made progress to avoid duplication on the function with developing casting technique. The bronze and iron dagger seems to be symbolized authority, burial strongly in group(Ⅰ). But it’s shown not only to reduce bronze parts but to activate function in group(Ⅱ).
