대구지역 청동기시대 석기생산 시스템 연구

대구지역은 자연 지리적으로 지역권을 설정할 수 있으며, 청동기시대 전기에서 후기까지 연속적인 변화상을 파악할 수 있는 양호한 취락유적과 더불어 석기생산과 관련된 다수의 유적이 조사되어 검토대상지로서 최적의 조건을 갖추었다. 대구지역의 청동기시대 취락의 검토를 통해 전기에서 후기의 석기제작 시스템의 변화에 대해 검토해 보았다. 그 결과 청동기시대 전기에는 취락 내에서 자가소비를 목적으로 석기를 제작하지만 인접한 취락군 중에서 석기출토 및 제작관련 유물이 집중된 상황으로 볼 때 부분적으로 석기유통이 이루어졌을 가능성을 확인하였다. 그러나 석기제작과 관련된 전문취락의 징후는 전기후반에 팔계천 일대의 매천동유적에서 확인할 수 있었다. 이후 팔계천 일대에서는 전기의 매천동취락이 발전하여 상류의 동천동취락으로 거점을 이동하면서 석기제작 전문취락으로서의 면모를 갖추게 되는 것으로 이해될 수 있다. 석기제작 전문취락의 석재는 고령의 의봉산 일대에서 애추(崖錐) 형태로 산출되는 혼펠스를 사용하였다는 것을 관련 유적의 검토로서 제시하였다. 석기의 유통에 관해서는 유절병식석검의 분포범위와 궤를 같이하며, 일단병식석검단계에서 확대되는 것으로 추정하였다.
