오키나와 출토 류큐기와와 경주 출토 고려기와 비교검토

Exchange at sea by roof tile between Korea and Japan: Centrally Ryukyu roof tile from Korea Gyeongju style of Goryeo

오키나와(沖縄)의 류큐(琉球)시대 기와는 12세기경 고려에서 조와기술이 전해져 시작된 것으로 인식되고 있다. 특히 우라소에성(浦添城) 등에서 출토된「 癸酉年高麗瓦匠造」명 문자기와에서「 癸酉年」과「 高麗」가 주목의 대상이 되어왔다. 이러한 오키나와 출토 고려계기와에 대한 연구는「 三別抄」라는 역사적 사실을 중심으로 진도와 제주도의 기와에 집중하여 진행되어 왔으나, 이번 연구를 통해서 경주에서 출토되는 고려시대 기와에 대한 친연성을 새롭게 확인하였고, 이를 바탕으로 오키나와와 경주와의 관계를 검토해 보았다.

Ryukyu roof tile producting skill has been recognized to be transmitted from 12th Korea. Especially, crested roof tile「 癸酉年高麗瓦匠造」from Urasoe castle has been received public attention due to「 癸酉年」and「 高麗」. This kind of reserch about Ryukyu roof tile from Korea had been going to be focused on historical fact of 「三別抄」, the group’s progress around the Jindo and Jeju Island. But now we identified about affinity between Ryukyu and Gyeongju roof tile, around Gyeongsang Do, and we considered about relationship between Ryukyu and Gyeongsang Do area.
