한반도 출토 검파두식의 분류와 편년

A study of Pommel Fittings in Korean Peninsula

한반도 출토 검파두식 연구는 1932년 榧本龜生으로부터 시작되어, 현재까지 관련 연구 자료가 지속적으로 축적되고 있지만, 여전히 연대와 형식 문제에서 불분명한 부분이 다수이다. 이를 해결하고자, 청동기시대부터 원삼국기까지 출토된 모든 검파두식을 대상으로 분류와 편년 중심의 연구를 진행하였고, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 遼東 지역의 월형 검파두식이 기원전 9세기 말~8세기대에 한반도로 유입되며, 기원전 8세기대를 전후하여 한반도에서 자체 발전한 입주형ㆍ산요형 검파두식이 등장한다. 두 번째, 중국 동북 지역에서 유입된 검파두식은 대부분 遼東ㆍ吉林 지역에 분포하던 형식이며, 일부 遼西 지역에 분포하던 형식도 있지만 수량이 극히 적다. 또한, 遼東ㆍ吉林 지역의 검파두식 중 한반도에서 재지화된 검파두 식만 수량이 증가한다. 즉, 한반도의 검파두식은 중국 동북 지역의 영향도 있지만, 대부분 자체적으로 발전한다. 세 번째, 검파두식의 공반 유물에는 중원식동검ㆍ동과ㆍ주조철기 등이 있는데, 최근 韓ㆍ中學者들의 연구 성과를 고려할 때 한반도 출토 중원식동검과 동과는 기원전 3세기 전반까지 상향될 가능성이 크며, 주조철기 역시 늦어도 기원전 3세기 후반에는 서해안 일대에서 검파두식과 함께 부장된다. 네 번째, 낙랑 설치 이후에 진변한 지역에서 등장하는 물질문화를 낙랑의 영향으로만 인식하여 왔지만, 최근 후기 고조선의 영향도 주장되고 있다. 그런데 낙랑 설치 이전의 서해안 일대에서 발견된 평형 검파두식과 단조철부를 고려할 때, 이 기물들 역시 낙랑 설치 이후에 등장하는 진변한 지역의 물질문화에 영향을 끼쳤다.

Major parts of the problems about the dating and shape of Pommel Fittings found in the Korean Peninsula are uncertain up to date. In order to solve these problems, the study revolving around the types and chronology of the excavated Pommel Fittings, from the Bronze Age to the Proto-Three Kingdoms Period, has been carried and the results are as in the followings; First, Bit-axe Pommel Fittings from Liadong area were flowed in Korean Peninsula in the late 9th to 8th century B.C., and Pommel Fittings was autonomously developed in the peninsula around 8th century B.C.. Second, the Pommel Fittings from North-eastern China were the shape mostly distributed in Liaodong and Jilin area. The shape partly distributed in Liaoxi area is found; however, there are the small number of the shape’s Pommel Fittings, and these Pommel Fittings were sporadically flowed in the Korean Peninsula, which didn’t bring an impact. Even though North-eastern China was affected on Pommel Fittings in the Korean Peninsula, in other words, most of them were internally developed in the peninsula. Third, Central Plain-style Ritual Bronze Dagger, Bronze Halberd, and Cast Iron can be found in the association relic of Pommel Fittings. In consideration of the research result of the scholars in Korea and China, there is high possibility that the dating of Central Plain-style Ritual Bronze Dagger and Bronze Halberd can be lifted to the early 3rd century B.C., and Cast Iron was buried in the west coast in the Korean Peninsula in the late 3rd century B.C. at the latest either. Finally, the material culture in Jinbyenhan area which was appeared after the installation of Nakrang was considered as by Nakrang, but recently it is claimed that the latter part of Gojoseon could affect the appearance of the culture. Considering the Flat Pommel Fittings and Forged Iron Axe found in the west coast of the Korean Peninsula before the installation of Nakrang, however, the material culture in Jinbyeonhan area which was appeared after the installation of Nakrang was complexly affected by Mahan.
