교정시설 폭력성 저감을 위한 CPTED 및 치유환경 요소 연구

A Study on the Elements of CPTED and Curable Environment for Decrease of Violation in Correctional Facilities

교정시설은 감시와 통제의 가장 직접적인 시설인 가운데 동시에 교정, 교화의 교육이 이루어지는 시설이다. 그것은 범죄로부터 안전한 환경을 중시하는셉테드(CPTED)의 취지와 직접적으로 연계되면서 동시에 치유공간의 개념을 필요하는 시설임을 환기시키게 한다. 범죄는 잠재적인 사회병리현상이 드러난 것이며 범죄자는 사회구조의 문제와 모순으로 인해 형성된 것으로 사회는 범죄자를 교정, 교화하여 건강한 사회의 일원으로 복귀하는 것을 목적으로 한다는것은 다시 말해, 일종의 정신병을 치료하는 것으로 이야기 할 수 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 교정시설의 폭력성(자살, 폭력) 저감을 위한 셉테드 개념과 치유공간 개념을 융합, 적용하여 실제 교정시설의 공간에 적용하여 분석할 필요의 타당성과 분석의 유용성을 판단하는 것이다. 이를 통해 현시설의 문제점을 분석하고 새로운 방향성을 제언하고자 한다. 교정시설을 셉테드 관점에서 분석한연구는 소수 존재하나 셉테드 개념과 치유공간 개념과 적용하여 현 교정시설을 분석하고 그에 따른 개선방향에 대해서 논의한 논문은 부재하다. 본 논문은셉테드 개념의 체크리스트와 치유공간개념이 결합된 새로운 방식의 체크리스트로 시설을 평가분석하여 개선방안을 도출하여 향후 폭력성 저감의 실질적인관리방안이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Correctional facility is the most direct space for surveilance and control. In the same time, it is also the facility for correction and education. It is connected with the CPTED conception and objectivity of stressing on safe environment from crime and in the same time, it also reminds us of needing the conception of curable space for users. Crime stands for actualizing the virtual social-pathological phenomenon and criminal has made from the social-structure problem and paradox. If correctional facility has the objectivity for criminals to return to society as a healthy one through correction, it can mean that correctional process is almost same with curing mental or psychological disease. The purpose of this study is to analyze and judge for effectiveness and possibilities of needs for merging the CPTED conception and Curable space conception for decrease of violation in the correctional facilities. This study would suggest the new direction through analyzing the problem of the facilities today.
