통합사례관리사가 경험한 클라이언트 폭력과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 외상 후 스트레스의 매개효과 검증

Verifying the Mediation Effect of posttraumatic Stress on the Relationship between Client Violence Experienced by the Integrated Case Manger and post-traumatic Growth

이 연구는 통합사례관리사가 경험한 클라이언트 폭력이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 외상 후 스트레스의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 수행을 위하여 클라이언트로부터 1회 이상 폭력을 경험했다고 보고한 희망복지지원단 통합사례관리사 총 233명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 구조방정식 모형을 이용해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통합사례관리자는 근무 중 클라이언트로부터 다양한 유형의 폭력을 경험했으며, 외상 후 스트레스 수준도 매우 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 클라이언트 폭력, 외상 후 스트레스, 외상 후 성장 간에는 모두 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 셋째, 클라이언트 폭력과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 외상 후 스트레스의 매개효과는 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 클라이언트 폭력이 외상 후 스트레스를 유발하며, 이는 다시 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 통합사례관리사를 대상으로 외상 후 성장 모형의 근거를 제시한 것으로 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 통합사례관리사의 안전을 구축하기 위한 실천적·정책적 함의를 제언하였다.

This study aims to observe the mediation effect of the posttraumatictraumatic stress on the effect of client violence experienced by integrated case managers on posttraumatic growth. In order to conduct the study, a survey was conducted among 233 integrated case mangers in Hope Welfare Support Team, and was analyzed using structural equation model. The finding shows: (1) the case mangers experienced various kinds of violence from their clients at work, and the level of their posttraumatic stress is very severe; (2) there is a meaningful relationship between client violence, posttraumatic stress and posttraumatic growth; (3) posttraumatic stress has a meaningful mediation effect on the relationship between client violence and posttraumatic growth. In other words, client violence creates posttraumatic stress, which affects posttraumatic growth. The result lays a ground of post traumatic growth model for the integrated case manger. Based on the result, practical/policy-level implications for the safety of integrated case manger were suggested.
