결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교재의 주인공 ‘수잔’의 역할 분석 연구

A Study on the Role of the Main Characters ‘Suzan’in Korean Textbooks for Married Immigrants

이 연구는 결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교재에 나타난 등장인물들의 대화를 통해 알 수 있는 역할이 교재에 제시된 학습목표에 부합하는지 분석했다. 분석에 사용된 교재는 국립국어원의 『결혼이민자와 함께 하는 한국어』로 특정 인물들이 소개된 1권부터 4권까지이다. 주인공의 ‘수잔’의 역할은 교재에서 제시된 대화문을 바탕으로 힘과 유대 관계를 중심으로 집단을 나누어 분석하였다. 2장에서는 분석의 기준에 대해 기술하였고 3장에서는 각 집단 내에서의 대화 참여자의 관계를 고려하여 주인공의 역할을 대화문을 통해 분석하였다. 마지막 4장에서는 분석한 대화문이 목표에 맞게 적절하게 제시되었는지를 살펴 수정, 보완될 요소를 찾아 제시하였고 개선점을 제안하였다결혼이라는 제도를 통해 한국에 정착한 여성결혼이민자는 아내, 며느리, 엄마, 이 웃, 구직자 등의 다양한 역할을 맡게 된다. 이 과정에서 접하는 한국어 교재를 통해 한국어와 한국 문화에 대한 인식이 학습 초기에 고정되어 형성될 수 있다. 고정된 인식은 한국에서 거주하면서 사회화 과정과 일생의 의식 구조에 영향을 줄 수 있기 때문에 특정한 역할에 대한 고정관념과 선입견이 생길 수 있다. 이 연구를 통해 특수 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국어 교재를 개발할 때 도움이 되고자 했다.

The study analyzed whether the roles shown in Korean language textbooks for marriage immigrants were in line with the study objectives presented in the textbooks. The textbooks used in the analysis are Korean language programs with immigrants from the National Institute of 『Korean language for Married immigrant』, from the first to the fourth books in which certain figures were introduced. The main character’s role was analyzed by dividing groups around power and solidarity based on dialogue sentences presented in the textbook. Chapter 2 describes the criteria of the analysis, and Chapter 3 analyzes the main character’s role through dialogue statements considering the relationships of dialogue participants within each group. In the last chapter, we examined whether the analyzed dialogue was properly presented to the goal, found and presented elements to be modified and supplemented, and proposed improvements Through the system called “marriage,” female marriage immigrants who settled in Korea will take on various roles such as wife, daughter- in-law, mother, neighbors and job seekers. Through the Korean language teaching materials encountered in this course, the perception of Korean language and culture can be fixed and formed in the early stages of learning. Fixed perceptions can affect the process of socialization and the structure of consciousness throughout life while living in Korea, so stereotypes and preconceptions about specific roles can arise. The study was intended to help develop Korean language teaching materials for special purpose learners.
