대중문화 텍스트를 활용한 비판적 사고 교육의 구조화 방안 연구

The Study on the Structured Way of Critical Thinking Education Using Popular Culture Text

본고는 비판적 사고 교육이 외연을 넓힐 필요가 있다는 문제의식에 서서 그 일환으로 문화연구의 관점에서 대중문화 텍스트에 대한 비판적 이해를 구조화할 수 있는 수업 방안을 제시하였다. 본고에서 밝힌 논점은 다음 두 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 교육 내용의 측면에서 디즈니 공주 신화의 의미 작용 분석을 중심으로 대중문화 텍스트에 대한 비판적 이해를 도모한 수업 실천을 통해 학습자들은 사회적 차이의 역학에 의해 형성된 차별 및 고정 관념에 대해 비판적으로 사고하는 태도를 학습할 수 있는 기회를 가질 수 있었다. 교육 방법의 측면에서 협동 학습의 원리에 따라 발산적 토의 단계에서 수렴적 토론 단계로 이어지는 과정이 학습자 개개인이 발산적 차원의 창의적 비평 글쓰기를 수행하는 단계와 유기적으로 결합할 수 있는 수업을 통해 학습자들은 자신에게 내면화된 차별 및 고정관념을 성찰할 수 있는 기회를 얻을 수 있었다.

This study, as a part of the awareness that critical thinking education needs to be expanded, suggests how to structure a critical understanding of popular culture texts from the perspective of Cultural Studies. This issue can be summarized in two ways. In terms of educational content, learners learn to think critically about the discrimination and stereotypes formed by the dynamics of social differences through class practice that aims to critically understand the popular culture texts in the meaning of Disney princess mythology. In terms of teaching methods, learners internalize themselves through classes that allow the learner to organically combine with divergent creative critique writing in accordance with the principles of cooperative learning, from divergent discussion to convergent debate. The opportunity to reflect on discrimination and stereotypes was gained.
