주제의 깊이 확보를 위한 대학 작문 교과의 피드백 방안

A method of Feedback of university composition to secure depth of the theme

이 논문의 목적은 학습자들이 깊이 있는 주제를 구성할 수 있도록 돕는 방안을 제시하는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 대학글쓰기 능력 신장을 위한 교수법을 활용하는 수업 내 글쓰기 결과물을 분석하고 더 개선해야 할 문제가 무엇인지를 살폈다. 글쓰기에서 하의 평가를 받은 학습자들은 ‘과제부합성’이나 ‘내용 간의 위계’를 제대로 살피지 못함으로써 깊이 있는 주제를 이끌어 내지 못하고 있다는 점이 발견되었다. 학습자가 주제의 깊이를 확보하는 방식의 글쓰기를 할 수 있도록 이끌기 위해서는 일단 학습자가 자신의 주제를 확인할 수 있는 계기를 지속적으로 제공하는 것이 필수적이다. 하지만 교과가 이미 수행하고 있는 글쓰기 과제의 지속적 제공이나 피드백 제공, 수정의 기회 제공 등으로 충분하지 않음을 밝혔다. 학습자들은 TA나 튜터(tutor)가 제시한 전제를 제대로 포착하지 못함으로써 주제의 깊이를 확보하지 못한다는 사실도 밝혀졌다. 이를 개선하기 위해서는 학습자가 주어진 글쓰기 기회나 수정, 피드백의 기회를 더 잘 활용할 수 있는 피드백 방식을 모색해야 한다. 해결 방안의 하나로 학습자들이 글쓰기 과제의 목적에 반영되어 있는 공통된 전제들을 확인할 수 있는 다양한 기회를 제공해야 한다. 공유된 전제에 대한 강의형 피드백이나 유인물이 도움을 줄 수 있다. 또한 학습자들의 이전 결과물을 대상으로 심층성에 접근할 수 있는 단초들을 발견해 내고 이를 중심으로 사고를 전개할 수 있는 기회가 튜터링이나 피드백에 반영되어야 한다.

This paper’s aim is to present a method to support college student to construct a depth of theme. For this purpose, we analyzed the results of writing in the class which utilizes the teaching method for the extension of the writing skills of the university, and investigated the problem which must be improved. College student who received evaluation under writing discovered that it is not possible to derive a depth of theme by not being able to fully see ‘coincidence of assignments’ or ‘Hierarchy among contents’. It is essential to continuously provide opportunities for learners to check their themes in order to allow learners to create compositions of methods to ensure theme depth. However, it revealed that the subject does not satisfy the sustainable provision of the writing style which the subject is already carrying out, providing feedback, providing opportunities for correction and so on. The fact that the learners did not secure the depth of the theme became clear also because it was not able to properly catch the premise presented by TA and tutor. In order to improve this, we have to search for a feedback method that enables learners to better utilize given opportunities for writing, corrections, and feedback opportunities. One of the solutions must provide diverse opportunities for learners to ascertain common premises that are reflected in the objectives of composition subjects. Lecture-type feedback and printed materials for shared premises can be useful. In addition, opportunities to discover clues that can access the deep sexuality of the result of learner relocation, and to develop an accident around this should be reflected in tutoring and feedback.
