학문 목적 한국어 작문 교육을 위한 한·중 논설 텍스트의 전형성 고찰

Study on Typicality of both Korean and Chinese Essay text for Academic Purposed Korean Writing Education

중국인 학습자가 논설 텍스트를 쓰는 경우 한국의 담화 공동체서 수용할 수 없는 다양한 형태의 오류가 나타난다. 특히 대학에서 요구하는 학문 목적 ‘논설 텍스트’에서 나타나는 오류 형태는 매우 다양한 측면에서 나타나는데 이러한 차이는 한국과 중국의 논설 텍스트의 특징이 다르기 때문이다. 본고는 목표어와 모어를 대등한 위치로 보는 상대주의적인 시각에서 한국과 중국의 논설 텍스트의 전형적인 특징을 분석해 보았다. 본고는 학습자의 논설 텍스트 구성에 영향을 미쳤던 요소를 분석하기 위하여, 현재 한국어 교육기관이나 한국 대학에서 한국어를 학습하고 있는 중국인 한국어 학습자 대부분이 공통적으로 과거에 학습한 모국어 작문 교육 배경에 대한 탐구에서부터 연구를 시작하였다. 또한, 양국의 논설 텍스트의 전형적인 특징을 파악하기 위하여 한국과 중국의 초,중등 국어 및 작문 교육과정의 특징을 비교 분석하였고, 대표적인 논설 텍스트로 대학 입시 논술 텍스트를 분석 대상으로 하였다. 그 결과 한국과 중국의 논설 텍스트에 나타나는 많은 특징 중에서 논거와 논증 방법 측면에서 가장 전형적인 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 중국의 논설 텍스트에서만 나타나는 스토리 논거의 유형과 특징, 그리고 중국과 달리 한국의 논설 텍스트에서는 반박하기 기능이 매우 중요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

There are a variety of errors which cannot be admitted by Korean discourse community when chinese learners write essay in korean. the types of errors in academic purposed korean writing at university are showed in many aspects, which must be caused by characteristics of each country’s writing. In this paper, typicality of both korean and chinese essay text was analyzed in the perspective of relativism which gives both target language and native language equal status. This paper started its study from researching the educational background within native language essay, which most of chinese student would have been commonly instructed in the period of secondary school. In addition to this, comparative analysis of the curricular characteristics in each one’s native language subject was followed to find typicality of both korean and chinese essay text, and the objects of analysis were the university entrance essay text in both countries for representative persuading text. The result of this paper shows that there are typical differences in argumentation and basis of an argument between korean and chinese essay, apart from many other common writing features. In other words, chinese essay typically and exclusively uses story as basis of an argument, whereas korean essay make it important to use disproof logically.
