외국인 유학생의 한국어 쓰기 논증 도식 사용분석에 대한 연구

A Study on Analysis of Foreign Students’ Usage Patterns of Argumentation Schemata for Korean Writing, with a Focus on Comparison with Korean University Students

본고는 외국인 유학생의 한국어 쓰기의 논증 도식 사용이 한국인과 어떻게다르게 나타나는가를 비교하기 위하여 Kienpointner(1992)의 논증 도식을분석의 틀로 삼아 120편의 쓰기를 분석하였다. 그 결과 공통점은 첫째, 수치결과는 차이가 있었지만 세 집단 모두 인과 도식이 다른 항목에 비해 압도적으로 높은 수치를 보인 점, 둘째, 인과 도식 다음으로 많이 사용한 도식은, 설명적 예시 도식과 비교 도식이라는 점, 셋째, 반대 도식과 유추 도식은 세집단 모두 나타나지 않았다는 점이다. 이와는 다르게 차이점은, 포함 도식, 비교 도식, 설명적 예시 도식, 권위 도식은 통계적으로 유의미하게 차이가나는 것으로 드러났다는 것이다. 본고는 세 집단의 쓰기를 코퍼스로 구축하여계량언어학적으로 접근하여 논증 도식의 사용을 분석하고 실제 작문 사례를비교하여 살펴봄으로써 향후 중국인과 일본인 학습자를 교육할 때 어떠한 점이 부족한지를 미리 주지하여 교수할 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다

This paper looked at the difference in patterns of argumentation schemata for writing between foreign university students and Korean university students. For this, the argumentation schema of Kienpointner(1992) was used as a frame of analysis for an analysis of the patterns of the argumentation schemata used in a total of 120 pieces of writing of foreign university students and Korean university students, and the findings are as follows: First of all, these are common facts - first, despite a difference in figures all the 3 groups showed overwhelmingly higher figures for causal schema, compared to the other items, as expected; second, the second most frequently used schemata (causal schema, the most frequently used schema) were explanatory schema and comparison schema; third, all the groups did not use opposite schema. Meanwhile, when it comes to the difference between the groups, of the 8 argumentation schemata, inclusion schema, comparison schema, explanatory schema, and authority schema showed a statistically significant difference. The paper is significant in that it presented a direction of teaching by making known in advance to the teaching staff what groups of university students from China and Japan lack - the staff to educate them in the future. Specifically, based on a corpus of their writing data, it analyzed the patterns of the argumentation schemata by approaching their writing in terms of quantitative linguistics, and took and looked into actual writing examples.
