현대한국문학 연구방법론 확장을 위한 ‘유토피아’의 이론적 성찰

Theoretical Reflection of ‘Utopia’ for Expansion of Methodology of Modern Korea Literature - Centered on Ernst Bloch

희망은 유토피아를 꿈꾸는 모든 인간의 미래철학이다. 그러나 이 추상적 철학을에른스트 블로흐는 구체적 사유에 바탕을 둔 합리적인 방법론을 통해 도달하고자노력하였다. 블로흐는 유대교와 기독교의 메시아주의 신학론과 네오 맑시즘을 결합한 형태의 유토피아론을 전개해 나간다. 그래서 정태적 사물보다 역동적 힘에, 현실태보다 가능태에, 존재보다 생성에, 현재보다 미래에, 순수이성보다 실천이성에철학적 사유의 역점을 두었다. 블로흐의 『희망의 원리』는 그의 평생을 지배해 온유토피아론을 집대성한 것으로써 ‘아직 의식되지 않은 것’, ‘아직 이루어지지 않은것’의 개념에 인간의 노동(의지)과 연결시키면서 맑스주의적 유물론이 들어설 수 있는 형이상학적 장소를 마련한다. 또한 그는 ‘아직-의식되지-않은 것(Noch-Nicht- BewuBtes)’의 개념을 들어 미래의 가능성에 초점을 두고, 궁극적이고 최상의 목표(선)에 도달하기 위한 작업에 대해 이야기한다. 현대의 한국문학은 현재 사회의 위기를 극복할 수 있는 대안에 초점을 맞춰야하는 과제에 당면해 있다. 유토피아가 미래 사회에 어떤 영향을 미칠지는 아직 평가될 수 없기 때문에 블로흐는 언제나 새롭게 역사적 가능성의 방향을 재설정하는자기 비판적이며 자동 추적의 과정의 유토피아를 추구했다. 때문에 현대 문학은 이제 유토피아 이후, 또는 그의 방법론을 비판할 것이 아니라, ‘지금’, ‘여기’ 새롭게쓰일 유토피아를 점검하는 일이 시급하다. 블로흐 역시 지금의 역사를 통해서 앞으로의 가능성을 타진하고자 노력하는 자체가 중요하다고 했기 때문이다. 이에 본고에서는 블로흐의 유토피아 이론을 검토 및 소개함으로써 현대한국문학 연구방법론의 확장을 꾀하고자 한다.

Hope is the future philosophy of all humans dreaming of utopia. However, this abstract philosophy, Ernst Bloch, tried to reach through concrete methodology. Bloch develops a utopian theory that combines Neo-Marxism with the theology of Messianism in Judaism and Christianity. Bloch s principle of hope is the culmination of utopia theory that has dominated his lifetime, linking it with human labor (will) to the concept of not yet realized or not yet realized . This provides a metaphysical location for Marxist materialism. He also talks about the task of reaching the ultimate and ultimate goal, focusing on the possibilities of the future, with the notion of Noch-Nicht-BewuBtes . Contemporary Korea literature is faced with the task of focusing on alternatives that can overcome the current social crisis. The impact of utopia on future society can not yet be assessed. So Bloch always pursued a new utopia that redirected its historical possibilities. Therefore, it is urgent to check the utopia that will be newly used now and here, rather than criticizing the utopia or his methodology. Bloch also believes that it is important to strive for future possibilities through the present history. In this paper, I will try to expand the methodology of modern Korea literary research by examining and introducing Bloch s utopia theory.
