A Study on the Writing Challenges in Science and Technology - Motivating and setting topics for writing

이공계 글쓰기의 목적은 이공계 지식과 사고체계를 기반으로 새로운 커리큘럼을 마련해 계열별 글쓰기의 교육적 효과를 증대하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 이공계 학생의 관심과 요구를 적극적으로 반영한 교재와 수업안을 마련하고 학생의 흥미를 자극하 는 과학정보를 첨가하며 생생한 교육 현장의 목소리를 반영한다. 최근 글쓰기 수업에 서 자율평가 방식이 도입되며 학생의 수준별 편차와 개인의 자율성을 반영한 글쓰기 과제가 만들어지고 있다. 이러한 글쓰기 과제는 글쓴이로서 학생이 지녀야 할 주체성 과 독립성을 중요하게 여긴다. 이공계 학생은 글쓰기를 통해 전공 지식을 타 분야의 지식과 융합하는 유연한 사 고방식과 의사소통 능력을 기른다. 그래서 이공계 글쓰기 과제는 전공 지식뿐 아니라 그와 연계된 인문철학 분야의 글을 접하고 서로 의견을 주고받으며 생각을 다각화할 수 있게 만들어야 한다. 이를 위해 교수자는 과학기술과 연계되는 다채로운 글쓰기의 주제와 글감을 찾아 학생에게 알리고 이에 대해 자기 생각을 밝히는 훈련을 하도록 도와야 한다.

The purpose of science and engineering writing is to increase the educational effect of writing by line by preparing a new curriculum based on the science and engineering knowledge and thinking system. To this end, we intend to prepare textbooks and effective lesson plans that actively reflect the interests and needs of science and engineering students. The new textbook adds scientific information to stimulate the interests of students and reflects the voice of the vivid educational field. In recent writing classes, the self-evaluation method is introduced, and writing tasks reflecting the deviations of each student s level and individual autonomy are being created. These writing tasks are important for the subjectivity and independence that a student should have as a writer. Students in science and engineering cultivate flexible thinking and communication skills by integrating major knowledge with knowledge in other fields through writing. Therefore, the writing task of science and engineering should make it possible to diversify thoughts by contacting and exchanging opinions with each other as well as major knowledge as well as writings related to the field of humanities and philosophy. To this end, instructors should help students find the subjects and feelings of colorful writing related to science and technology, and help them train themselves to reveal their thoughts.
