열린 문학교육에서의 자기 고백적 글쓰기

Autobiographical Writing in Open Literature Education - Focused on Choi In-hoon s novel <The Square>

이 연구는 열린 문학교육의 개념을 정립하고 최인훈의 <광장>이라는 작품을 통하여 자기 고백적 글쓰기의 원리를 도출하고자 함이 그 목적이다. 이는 읽기와 쓰기를 통합하고 자기를 반성하며 성찰할 수 있는 교육적 원리를 기반으로 한 열린 교육의 실현 양상으로 의의가 있다. 열린 문학교육은 교사, 학습자, 학습 자료의 열림에서 학습 자료의 열림에 초점을 두는 것으로 문학 텍스트를 중심에 둔 통합적 읽기와 쓰기 교육의 형태를 의미한다. 여기에서는 특히 문학과의 열림에서 읽기와 쓰기의 통합 모형을 중심으로 자기 고백적 글쓰기 원리를 도출하였다. 이를 위해 최인훈의 <광장>을 자기 고백적 글쓰기의 원리를 추출하기 위한 텍스트로 선정하였다. <광장>을 구조주의 사고의 틀로 분석하여, 밀실과 광장이라는 이항 대립항을 주인공이 찾아가는 과정에서 형성되는 주제와 상황 서술과 내면 서술이라는 전이된 디스크루의 서술 형식이 드러나는 텍스트로서, 자기 고백적 글쓰기 원리가 내재되어 있기 때문이다. 더욱이 이러한 글쓰기 원리는 문제 해결 과정으로서의 글쓰기 과정과 친연성이 높아 시의적으로 교육적 적용에 타당하였다. 이에 이 연구에서는 <광장>을 통한 자기 고백적 글쓰기의 원리를 다음과 같이 세 단계로 설정하였다. 첫째, 주인공 이명준이 밀실과 광장을 찾아가는 선택의 과정을 주목하여 ‘양자택일의 갈림길 경험’을 생성할 수 있다. 학습자가 자신의 선택적 경험을 토대로 내용을 생성하는 일은 자기 고백적 경험 쓰기의 좋은 소재가 될 수 있다. 둘째, 자아 표출적 글쓰기에서 시작해야 한다. 이것은 자아 표출적 글쓰기의 측면에서 글에서는 무엇보다 내용의 진솔성을 바탕이 되어야 하며, ‘자아 표출 → 타자 지향 → 자아 및 타자 형성’의 과정으로 나아가야 한다는 점을 의미한다. 셋째, 상황 서술에서 심리 서술로 점차 나아가는 서술 양식을 활용한다. 여기에서는 <광장>의 텍스트에서 모방의 글쓰기에서 패러디의 글쓰기 그리고 창의적 글쓰기로 나아가는 방법을 활용할 수 있다.

This study aims at making concepts of Open Literature Education, and deducting principles of Autobiographical Writing through Choi In-hoon‘s novel <The Square>. It has a meaning that it realizes an aspect of open education based on educational principles which induce an integration of both reading & writing and doing self-reflection. The open literature education focused on materials‘ opening among other components, a teacher, students and materials. So it means a type of education, that is, integration of reading & writing education through a literature text. In this study, a novel <The Square> is chosen for a certain text. And principles of autobiographic writing is deducted from this text. <The Square> has a narrative that a heroine finds a way of two different opposed space “A Room” and “A Square”. In this process, there is “spread Discours” which shows a narration of environment and of psychology. A chain of these narrative, a heroine’s autobiographical narration could be found, so this study extracted this phenomenon to the principles of autobiographical writing. Further, this principles have an affinity with a problem-solving writing process which is a main writing principle of a curriculum. The principles of autobiographical writing through a novel <The Square> have three steps following. First, “Experiences in choosing either A or B” could be set with focusing a heroine‘s choice process between a room and a square. It could be a good subject matter, that learners use it to make contents, based on their own “Experiences in choosing”. Second, “Self-exposure writing” will be a beginning session of a whole writing procedure. Because one’s sincerity is a very essential element for this type of writing, so it will have a writing step, “Self-exposure → Other-oriented → Self & Other Forming”. Third, “Writing from environment to psychology” is a process of this type of writing. An imitated writing from with a text of a novel <The Square> could be started, and then writing parody from that text could be done, and finally creative writing could be established.
