Bakseo Kang, Insu’s Life and Independence Activities at Manchuria

독립운동가 강인수의 생애와 독립운동에 관한 연구이다. 강인수는 경북 안동 출신으로 1907년 조직된 동우회에 참여했으며 강석호와 헤이그특사 파견에 참여했다. 그는 1918년 만주로 망명한 후 대한군정서에 참여했으며 청산리전투 이후에는 영안현 해림에 거주하며 대한독립군단에 참여했다. 그는 영안지역이 둔전과 양병을 통해 독립전쟁을 준비하기 위한 최적지라 여겼고 해림에서 북만경학연구회를 조직해 대한독립군단의 세력확장에 주력했다. 강인수는 해림에 거주하면서 대종교에 입교했다. 그는 1922년 9월 해림에 설치되는 장일시교당의 책임을 맡았으며 1924년 3월 조직되는 대한독립군정서에도 참여했다. 그는 1925년 3월 신민부조직에 참여해 중앙집행위원회를 견제하는 검사원으로 활동했으며 김좌진의 참모 역할을 담당하기도 했다. 강인수의 독립운동은 동우회와 헤이그특사 파견, 1920년대 북만주지역에서의 독립운동단체 활동을 살필 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Kang, Insu is an activist for the Independence born at Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do. During the late period of Joseon, he participated in the activity of regaining the National Sovereignty and after exiling to Manchuria, he joined in the Daehangounjeongseo, Daehandoklipkundan, Sinminbu and Hanjokchongyeonhaphoe. In 1905, Kang, Insu returned to Seoul and participated in the Dongwoohoe which staged the opposition to Ko-Jong’ abdication, but exiled to Vladivostok. In 1918, Kang, Insu exiled to Manchuria and resided Haelim, Youngan-hyun. In August, 1922, he organized the Bukmankyeonghakyeonkuhoe which played important role in expanding the base for the Daehangounjeongse and Daehandoklipkundan. He also took the responsibility of operating the church of the Daejonggyo at Jangil city. Through the activities of the church at Jangil city and the Kyeonghakyeonkuhoe, he devoted himself to the expansion of the independence army. Kang, Insu participated in the Sinminbu which organized in 1925.
