유아교사학습공동체 운영지원을 위한 놀이중심 보육과정 컨설팅 경험 탐색

Exploring the Experience of Consulting a Play-centered Curriculum to Support the Operation of Early Childhood Teacher Learning Community

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사들이 경험한 놀이중심 보육과정 컨설팅과 교사학습공동체 참여 과정 및 이 과정에서 나타나는 교사의 변화를 탐구하는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 경기도육아종합지원센터에서 주관하는 놀이중심 보육과정 컨설팅 사업의 교사학습공동체 소모임을 신청한 경기도 소재의 어린이집에 근무하는 7명의 교사들이다. 이들을 대상으로 온라인 사전 컨설팅 1회, 현장방문 컨설팅 2회, 교사학습공동체 소모임 4회와 소모임 컨설팅 2회를 진행하였다. 컨설팅과 교사학습공동체 소모임 과정 중 놀이 관찰을 통해 작성한 현장노트, 교사 면담기록, 일일보육계획안, 연구자 저널 등의 자료를 수집하고 요약하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 유아교사들의 놀이중심 보육과정 컨설팅과 교사학습공동체 참여 경험은 사전이해 및 준비하기, 실행 및 지원하기, 종료 및 평가하기의 과정으로 진행되었다. 또한 컨설팅과 학습공동체에 참여하는 과정에서 교사들의 놀이에 대한 기대와 인식이 변화하면서 관찰을 통해 놀이의 관심과 요구에 집중하고, 교사학습공동체를 통해 만남의 관계형성을 통해 동반자로서 함께 소통하게 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 지원자와 촉진자로서의 교사의 역할을 재정립하고, 일상에서 영유아들과 함께 놀이하며 놀이의 본질이 살아있는 보육과정 운영을 지속해 나가게 되었다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of participation in the consulting and the teacher-learning community experienced by early childhood teachers and the changes of teachers in this process. Participants of the study were 7 teachers working at daycare centers located in Gyeonggi-do who applied for a teacher-learning community for a play-centered curriculum consulting project managed by Gyeonggi Support Center for Childcare. For them, 1 online pre-consulting, 2 on-site visit consulting, 4 teacher learning community small groups and 2 small group consulting were conducted. During the course of consulting and teacher-learning community small groups, data such as field notes prepared through play observation, teacher interview records, daily childcare plans, and researcher journals were collected, summarized, and analyzed. As a result of the study, early childhood teachers experience of participation in the consulting on play-centered curriculum and teacher learning community proceeded to the process of pre-understanding and preparation, implementation and support, and termination and evaluation. Also, as teachers expectations and perceptions of play change in the course of participation in the consulting and the learning community, they focus on the interests and demands of play through observation and communicate together as partners through the formation of a relationship of encounters through the teacher-learning community. In addition, the role of teachers as volunteers and facilitators has been re-established, playing with infants and toddlers in daily life, and continuing to operate a curriculum in which the essence of play is alive.
