예술치료사의 문화예술치유 프로그램 평가 참여 경험 분석

A Study on Evaluation Experiences of Art Therapists in case of Culture & Arts Healing Program

본 연구는 문화예술치유 활동에 참여하는 예술치료사의 평가활동 참여경험 분석을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 2019년에 정부지원 문화예술치유 프로그램 지원사업을 수행하면서 평가자의 역할을 수행한 예술치료사 12명을 대상으로 2019년 10월-11월 에 걸쳐 4차례의 반구조화 심층면담에 의한 FGI를 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 예술치료사들이 경험한 평가의 목표는 ‘프로그램 효과의 확인’이다. 문화예술치유프로그램은 대상과 기관, 그리고 매개활동의 특성에 따라 다양한 측면의 효과를 낳고 있는 것으로 나타난다. 둘째, 예술치료사들이 바라보는 평가의 의미는 ‘프로그램 확장을 추동하는 기제’이다. 평가의 시행 자체가 프로그램의 기준점이자, 치료활동을 보다 체계화하고 목표지향적으로 실행할 수 있도록 견인해주는 준거로 작동한다. 셋째, 예술치료사들이 인식한 평가의 한계는 ‘현실과 이상의 괴리’이다. 평가대상의 다양성에 비하여 평가 틀이 획일적으로 적용되고 있으며, 평가절차의 과중한 부담이 오히려 프로그램 진행의 걸림돌로 작용한다. 위의 연구결과는, 특정 영역의 전문가가 프로그램의 일부로 평가활동에 참여할 때 경험하는 평가자로서의 역할 한계와 복합적 정체성을 드러낸다는 점에서 향후 프로그램 평가의 이론과 실천에 다양한 시사를 제공한다.

This study aims to analyze evaluation experiences of art therapists in case of culture & art healing program. For the purpose, The data were collected from 12 art therapists through an in-depth semi-structured interview. In 2019, they carried out a government-supported culture and arts healing program. According to the analysis, first, the goal of the evaluation experienced by art therapists is to check the effectiveness of the program. The culture & arts healing program has been shown to produce various aspects of the program depending on the object, institution, and the characteristics of the mediating activity. Second, the meaning of the evaluation viewed by art therapists is a mechanism that drives program expansion. The implementation of the assessment itself serves as the basis point of the program and as a basis for driving treatment activities to be more systematic and goal-oriented. Third, the limit of the evaluation perceived by art therapists is the difference between reality and ideal . Compared to the diversity of evaluation targets, the evaluation framework is applied uniformly, and the heavy burden of the evaluation process rather acts as an obstacle to the progress of the program.These findings reveal the limitations and complex identities of evaluators that experts experience when participating in evaluation activities.
