The Effect of Taekwondo Gym Training Program on Continuous Participation through Physical, Mental and Social Health: Moderation Effects of Elementary School the Trainee’ Gender

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the influence of taekwondo gym training program on continuous participation through physical, mental and social health is different depending on the gender of the trainees. A total of 484 questionnaires were used for analysis by conducting a survey to parents of elementary school trainees from september to november 2019. For the data, frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, a structural equation modeling, and multi-group analysis were performed. The result is as follows. First, it was found that the Taekwondo gym training program had a positive effect on physical, mental, social health. Second, physical, mental health had a positive effect on continuous participation. Third, it wasn’t found that the social health had a positive effect on continuous participation. Fourth, The impact of taekwondo gym training programs on continuous participation through physical, mental and social health showed differences depending on the gender of the trainees.
