동작침법과 신바로 약침을 이용한 한의학 치료로 호전된 주관절 내측 및 외측 상과염 환자 치험 5례

A Case Report of a Patient Diagnosed with Medial and Lateral Epicondylitis Treated with Korean Medicine Treatment Including Motion style Acupuncture Treatment(MSAT) and Shinbaro Pharmacopuncture

Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the effects of Motion style acupuncture Treatment(MSAT), Shinbaro Pharmacopuncture and other Korean medicine treatment for a patient who has elbow pain and dysfunction diagnosed with Medial and Lateral Epicondylitis. Methods The treatment effect was evaluated with a Numeric rating scale(NRS), elbow range of motion(ROM), score of Manual muscle test(MMT) and elbow physical examination(Cozen test, golf elbow test). Results After treatment, symptoms of the patient such as elbow pain and dysfunction were improved. The NRS decreased and the patient showed improvement in ROM and score of MMT. Conclusions Korean treatments including MSAT and Shinbaro Pharmacopuncture appeared to be effective in relieving pain and recovering the fucnction of joint associated with Medial and Lateral Epicondylitis, although further study is needed.
