비행청소년의 자아인식이 진로성숙에 미치는 영향에서 또래관계와 학교 내 사회적 자본의 매개효과 검증

The Analysis of Mediating Effects of Peer Relationship and of Social Capital within Schools in the Relation of Self-Awareness on the Career Maturation by Juvenile Delinquency

본 연구는 비행청소년의 자아인식과 진로성숙 간의 관계에서 또래관계와 학교 내 사회적 자본의 매개효과를 검증하고자 시도되었다. 또한, 이들 변인 간의 관계를 파악하여 비행청소년들의 비행을 줄이고 비행청소년의 진로성숙 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 ‘한국아동ㆍ청소년 패널조사(KCYPS)’ 자료의 중1 패널을 분석 도구로 활용하였고, 재학 중인 고등학생 615명을 대상으로 SPSS 22.0와 Amos 22.0 통계 프로그램을 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비행청소년의 자아인식은 진로성숙, 또래관계, 학교 내 사회적 자본에 유의한 정(+)적 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 또래관계는 진로성숙에 유의한 영향력을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 매개효과에 대한 검증결과, 학교 내 사회적 자본은 자아인식과 진로성숙 간의 관계에서 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 또래관계는 자아인식과 진로성숙 간의 관계에서 매개효과가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 비행청소년의 진로성숙을 향상하는데 필요한 프로그램에 대해 제언하였다.

This study examined the mediating effect of peer relationship and social capital within the school between self-awareness by delinquent adolescents on career maturity. Additionally, the purpose of this study was to identify variables that could reduce juvenile delinquency and provide base data to improve their career maturity. To achieve that, panel data of the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) was used for the analysis. A total of 615 senior high school students who participated in the 6th survey of the 1st Panel were ultimately selected for the final study. The statistical programs SPSS 22.0 and Amos 22.0 were used for the analysis. The main results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of the verification of the direct effect, it was found that self-awareness of delinquent adolescents had a significantly positive(+) effect on career maturity, peer relationship, and social capital within the school. Second, it was found that peer relationship by delinquent adolescents did not have a significant effect on career maturity. Third, social capital within the school had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between self-awareness and career maturity, and the peer relationship had no mediating effect in the relationship between self-awareness and career maturity.
