EBSe 방송프로그램을 활용한 초등 3학년 학습자의 영어 학습 효과

Effects of English learning by 3rd graders using EBSe broadcasting programs

This study aimed to investigate the effects of English learning by 3rd graders using EBSe Broadcasting Programs. The survey consisted of the following three questions: 1) How does English using EBSe broadcasting programs affect learner s vocabulary? 2) How does learning English using EBSe broadcasting programs affect the affective domain of learners?; 3) What is the learner’s perception of learning English using the EBSe broadcast programs. Data was collected through pre-questionnaires and pre-vocabulary tests to understand level of English and the affective domain such as interest, confidence and participation. In addition, a post-questionnaire and vocabulary test were conducted to investigate and learning effects of EBSe broadcasting programs. The analysis of the data collected resulted in the following conclusions: English learning using the EBSe broadcasting program was effective in improving the English proficiency of 3rd graders. Additionally, EBSe broadcasting programs can have a positive effect on the learner s affective domain but the degree depends on the learner s level. Furthermore, this study found that the preference for each EBSe broadcasting program was different according to the level of learners. Through this study, we found that English learning using EBSe broadcasting programs is effective in learning ability and affective domain.
