본 연구는 비통화금융기관에 속하고 지역밀착금융기관의 하나인 전라북도지역 신용협동조합을 대상으로 DEA 모형을 이용하여 효율성을 평가하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법론은 이론적 연구와 실증적 연구를 병행하였다. 이론적 연구에서는 지금까지 발표된 이론을 중심으로 살펴보고, 실증적 연구에서는 전라북도지역 신용협동조합 연합회에서 2001년과 2002년 내부 연간자료를 이용하여 65개 지역의 신용협동조합에 대한 공시된 자료를 수집하여 LP 해석용 LIDO 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과를 종합하여 보면 기술효율성, 규모효율성 모두 2002년의 값이 2001년의 값 보다 평균적으로 증가 하였음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 실제로 실무에서 응용하기를 바라며, 앞으로의 연구과제는 다른 연구방법론(회귀분석, 재무분석 방법 등)을 측정하여 비교분석하여 보고, DEA 모형식을 측정하기 위하여 사용한 투입변수와 산출변수의 조합을 다르게 하여 연구 하여 보고자 한다. 그리고 배분효율성을 계산상의 어려움으로 측정하지 못하였는데 자료를 보완하여 연구하면 신용협동조합의 경영에 대하여 보다 심층적 연구결과가 나오리라 생각한다.
The purpose of this study is to measure the managerial efficiency for Jeonrabukdo Credit Union (JCU) using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). DEA was first introducd by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes(CCR) in 1978. It has been extensively applied to many areas. Most of the DEA applications have been for public sectors and non-profit organizations. But, recently apply in profit organizations. DEA consider multiple inputs and multiple outputs simultaneously. The samples for empirical analysis were 65 areas JCU. The period is 2001 and 2002. Empirical study are perfprmed technicial efficiency and scale efficiency in efficiency measurement. The result of technicial efficiency is 8 DMUs and 10 DMUs efficiency performance in 2001 and 2002. The result of scale efficiency is 10 DMUs and 14 DMUs efficiency performance in 2001 and 2002. This study shows that the DEA approach is not only complementary to ratio analysis and regression analysis in evaluation performance JCU but also a useful management tool in reallocating resources. DEA method could be powerful tool for performance evaluation.
