교육심리학 수업이 교직공통역량과 교육심리 세부역량 함양에 미치는 효과와 수강 유형별 차이

The Effects of Educational Psychology Classes in Enhancement of Teaching Competence, Subject-Specific Competence and Differences in Types of Courses

본 연구는 교육대학교, 일반대학교 교직과정 및 일반대학교 교육관련 전공에서 교육심리학 강좌를 수강하는 경우에 학생들의 교직공통역량과 교육심리 세부역량을 향상시키는 데 효과가 있는지, 수강 유형별로 역량 향상에 차이가 있는지를 확인하는데 목적을 두었다. 이에 따라 세 가지 수강유형이 다른 대학에서 교육심리학을 수강하는 학생들을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 한 학기 수업전, 후에 교직공통역량검사와 교육심리 세부역량검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 교육심리학 수업은학생들의 교직공통역량과 교육심리 세부역량을 함양하는 데 효과적이라는 것이 확인되었다. 또한수강 유형별 차이를 분석한 결과에서도 유형별 차이가 크게 나타나지 않았지만, 수강 목적과 무관하게 교육심리학 강좌는 학생들의 교직역량 함양에 도움이 된다는 것이 입증되었다. 그리고 교직공통역량과 교육심리 세부역량 간에는 대부분 적절한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났는데, 이것은 교육심리학 수업을 통해 교직공통역량과 교육심리 세부역량을 모두 함양할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 본연구는 향후 교육심리학의 중요성을 더욱 인식하여 체계적이며 효과적인 교수-학습방법을 통해 수업을 진행해야 한다는 것을 시사해 준다.

This study verified whether educational psychology courses are effective in improving the teaching competence and subject-specific competence of university students. In addition, it was investigated whether the effects of educational psychology classes differed according to school types, i.e. elementary and secondary pre-service teachers, college, and general university students. To this end, pre- and post-tests were conducted for students who took the educational psychology courses for one semester. As a result, it was confirmed that the educational psychology courses were effective in enhancing students teaching competence and subject-specific competence, but there was no significant difference by school types. Additionally, it was found that there was a significant correlation between the teaching competencies and the subject-specific competencies, which means that teaching educational psychology can cultivate both competencies. This study suggests that the importance of educational psychology courses should be recognized in teacher education curriculum.
