Development of Curriculum for Two-Year Mechanical Design Education in Post-COVID-19 Industry Environment

In this paper, a 2-year curriculum and its road-map was developed for the mechanical design specialization after a questionnaire study was carried out with the industrial personnels. The questionnaire includes the perspective on the machine or mechanical design industries and on the demands for human resources in these industries post to Covid-19. It also contains national competency standards(NCS) for this field. The goal of education in the mechanical design was defined based on the questionnaire study. Also a curriculum was developed from the study. The curriculum is composed of the theoretical and practical courses and the practical ones are connected with NCS competency units.
