음악적 감성 역량 측정도구 개발 및 관련 변인 분석

Developing Musical Emotion Competency and Examining its Relationships with Students’ Characteristics

본 연구는 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정에 제시된 핵심역량 중에 ‘음악적 감성 역량’을 개념화하여 중학생을 위한 측정도구를 개발하고, 개발된 측정도구의 타당성과 신뢰도를 확인하며, 학생의 관련 특성들을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 측정도구는 이해력, 수용력, 적용력의 3개 요인으로 구성되었고, 2020년 9월~2020년 10월까지 남녀중학교 3학년생 240명을 대상으로 하여 실시되었다. 연구 결과, 탐색적 요인분석은 이 3개의 하위 요인들이 적절하다는 것을 보여주었으며, Cronbach-α 신뢰도 지수는 전체 문항에 대해 .944로 높게 나타났다. 한편, 학생의 배경변인에 따른 음악적 감성 역량의 차이를 비교, 분석한 결과는 첫째, 성별 비교에서 여학생이 남학생보다 ‘이해력’을 제외한 ‘수용력’, ‘적용력’, 전체 요인 점수가 유의미하게 높았다. 둘째, 음악에 대한 감정과 관련된 ‘수용력’과 음악적 특징을 파악하는 ‘이해력’ 점수에 비해 음악적 감성을 연주로 표현하거나 음악을 통한 상상, 성찰을 하는 ‘적용력’ 점수는 상대적으로 낮다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이외에 학생들의 음악 감상 빈도가 높을수록, 음악적 감성 및 음악적 소질에 대한 인식이 높을수록 유의미한 요인별 점수 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과들은 학생의 음악적 감성 역량 수준을 파악하고, 관련 변인들을 고려하여 음악교육에 적용함으로써 음악적 감성 역량을 기르는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study aims to develop a measurement tool for the musical emotion competency and examine the relationships between students’ musical emotion competency and personal characteristics. For the purpose of the study, a questionnaire was developed to measure students’ musical emotion competency constructing with the factors of understanding, receptivity, and application, and it was administered to 240 middle-school students from September, 2020 to October 2020. The results show that the measurement instrument consisting of three factors(understanding, receptivity, and application) is valid and reliable based on the statistical analysis of the exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach-α. The examination of the relationship between musical emotion competency and students’ background variables reveals that girls have higher competency than boys. It is also found that the frequency of listening to music, students’ perception of their emotionality level, students’ perception of their aptitude level are all related with their musical emotion competency.
