The Movement of National United Front of the Young Men’s League in Shanghai, 1924~1927, and the Korean Provisional Government

The Young Men’s League(YML) which succeeded the reformist/Gaejo Group of the National Representative Convention(NRC) was formed on April 5, 1924. The composition was the form which jointed with the Korean Students Studying in Shanghai and four groups that participated the Gaejo Group Fraction of the NRC ―the Korean Communist Party in Shanghai, the Young Korean Academy, the Korean Provisional Congress, Western Kan-do’s Forces. The plan of the YML was the independent activists’ union by the struggle of the youths who led the van in the independence movement. With this, the YML built the view to integrate the whole nation under the banner of the independence movement. At its time the YML was planning to organize the struggle of the youths. And with the reformed the Korean Provisional Government(KPG) as the center for the independence movement it was going to accomplish an union of the independent activists through the Representative Convention of Independent Party(RCIP). Members of the YML under these aspirations proposed <A Bill of RCIP> and <A Bill of the Renovation of Law & Official Affair of the KPG> through the Korean Provisional Congress on July 12, 1924, which were accepted by the KPG. The KPG by altering the RCIP would systematically lead all independent organizations to adapt to ‘the capability training cause’, ‘leftist cause’, ‘terrorism’, The reform of the KPG achieved somewhat the revision of the Constitution and the establishment of the Cabinet System. But the RCIP was canceled, which couldn’t ultimately form the KPG as the center force of the National United Front. Then it meant that the YML’s plan eventually failed. Since then, the movement for the National Single Party was deployed in all parts of China and according to the proposal of the Korean Young Men’s Association in Shanghai on March 10, 1927, the YML got a resolution of the dissolution. In the trend of the movement of National United Front from the NRC to the National Single Party, the creative/Changjo Group’s New Government Doctrine failed and next the YML’s policy line, leading KPG, went so far as to fail. The movement of National United Front, thus, adhered to form out of the Party.
