병(病)에 대한 관념에 나타난 에벤키족의 영혼관

Evenki s View of the Soul in the Idea of Illness

본 논문에서는 생사와 병의 기원, 발병 원인, 치병의식을 통해 에벤키족의 영혼관을 살펴보았다. 에벤키족은 병과 죽음을 악령의 작용과 관련짓는데 크게 유리혼 감각에 의해 악령이 ‘육신’을 공격한다는 입장과 악령이 ‘영혼’을 공격하여 발생한 탈혼에 의한 것이라는 입장으로 나누어진다. 에벤키족의 관념 속에서 병을 유발하는 대표적인 악령은 카마가, 부무무크, 부틸랴, 일랴디, 우헤케의 5개이다. 이외에 인간에게 사소한 병을 가져다주는 잡령들이 있는데 모두 턱수염이 있고 붉은색, 회색, 녹색, 검은색, 노란색, 흰색 등 다채로운 색을 띠고 있으며 잡령 의 명칭은 ‘사람의 신체 기관+-magin(질병 표지 접미사)’의 규칙적인 구조이다. 에벤키족의 치병 의식은 샤먼의 참여 여부에 따라 샤먼이 참여하지 않는 로콥틴의식과 일레메치시케의식, 샤먼이 참여하는 일레메칩케의식, 시춥켄의식, 후미코르의식으로 나누어진다.

In this paper, we investigated the Evenki s view of the soul through the origin of life and illness, the cause of the onset, and the consciousness of curing a illness. The Evenki associate sickness and death with the action of evil spirits. This is largely divided into the perspective that the evil spirit attacks the body, and the perspective that demarriage caused by an evil spirit attacking the soul. The representative evil spirits that cause illness in the Evenki s thought are Kamaga, Bumumuk, Butylja, Iljady, and Uhɛkɛ. The Evenki s rituals of curing an illness divided into Lokoptyn rituals and Ilɛmɛchshikɛ rituals in which shamans do not participate, and Illɛmɛchipkɛ rituals, Sichupkɛn rituals, Humikor rituals, which shamans do participate.
