Operation Plan for In-Service Education for Childcare Teachers in Preparation for COVID-19

This study investigated the level of satisfaction among childcare teachers who participated in an in-service education for the long-term unemployed conducted in real-time remote video classes using Zoom. The results of the study were as follows: the main advantage of real-time video classes in this context is that childcare teachers are saved the transit time to the training location. It was also found that it would be desirable for real-time video classes to be conducted in small debate-oriented classes. Finally, under conditions of the COVID-19, it seems inevitable that in-service education of childcare staff should be centered in a classroom-based educational approach. Web-based instruction in the form of real-time video may be an appropriate alternative to classroom-based education.
