중등 교육과정에서 지역사 교육의 변천과 방향모색

Changes and Directions of Regional History Education in Secondary Education

지역사 교육은 중앙사와 국가사 중심으로 진행되어 왔던 역사교육의 대안으로 등장했다. 지역사 교육은 2차 교육과정시기부터 등장하여 5차 교육과정과 6차 교육과정에서 강조되었다. 지역사 교육을 실시할 때 학생들은 기존의중앙사 중심의 교육이나 성전적 교과서관에서 벗어나 역사의 다양성을 바라볼 수 있게 된다. 또한 중층적 정체성을 이해할 수 있으며, 획일적 역사 이해에서 벗어나 개별 지역의 다름을 이해할 수 있다. 하지만 이러한 내용이 교과서에 반영되지 못하였고, 7차 교육과정 이후 점차 교육과정에서 그 내용이사라졌다. 현행 2015개정 교육과정에서도 지역사 교육에 대한 내용은 제시되지 않고 있다. 다만 현 검정 체제하에 다양한 교과서가 출판되면서 몇몇 교과서에서 지역사 교육과 관련한 내용을 소개하고 있다. 차후 개정되는 교육과정에서는 이러한 지역사 교육의 근거가 될 수 있도록 교육과정에 지역사와관련한 내용들을 명시하는 것이 필요하다.

Local history education has emerged as an alternative to history education that has ben centered on central history and national history. Local history education emerged from the 2nd curiculum period and was emphasized in the 5th and 6th curiculums.When conducting local history education, students can se the diversity of history, away from the existing central history-centered education or temple textboks. In adition, it is posible to understand the multi-layered identities, and to understand the diferences of individual regions apart from a uniform historical understanding. However, these contents were not reflected in the textbok, and the contents gradualy disapeared from the curiculum after the 7th curiculum. Even in the curent 2015 revised curiculum, no content on local history education is presented. However, as various textboks have ben published under the curent screning system, some textboks introduce contents related to local history education. In the curiculum to be revised in the future, it is necesary to clarify the contents related to the local history in the curiculum so that it can be the basis for such local history education.
