The Effect of Abusive Supervision Factors on the Job Stress and Deviant Behavior: The Control Effect of Emotional Intelligence and the Mediation Effect of Emotional Exhaustion

Purpose - This study aims to analyze the influence of abusive supervision factors by superiors on job stress and deviant behavior of subordinates, and to reveal the emotional intelligence control and the mediation effect of emotional exhaustion. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study collected data through a survey. The reliability and validity of the collected survey data were analyzed and the hypothesis was verified by structural equation and multiple and hierarchical regression analysis. Findings - The abusive supervision factors had a positive effect on the job stress and deviant behavior of the subordinates. The emotional intelligence of the load in relation to abusive supervision factors and job stress and deviant behavior were recognized as adjustment variables, and emotional exhaustion in relation to abusive supervision factors and the deviant behavior of the load had a direct and indirect influence as parameters. Research Implications - This study recently emphasized the negative consequences of abusive supervision in view of the importance of securing and utilizing competent personnel as an important factor in corporate competitiveness, and suggested ways to overcome them.
