A Formative Characteristics of Objet-based Art Makeup

For systematic academic research on art makeup, this study attempted to perform a formative analysis on works from the renowned World Bodypainting Festival to use the works as basic data for art makeup and contribute to growth through the formation of creative artistic values. In terms of the research method, objects investigated objects were divided based on formative characteristics considering internal and external characteristics. Internal formative characteristics were divided into decorativeness, playfulness, and fantasy, and external formative aspects were divided into shape, color, texture, and object. Among the works from the World Bodypainting Festival from 2015 to 2019, nearly 350 works were classified and 12 works were chosen by 6 judges with a Ph.D. or higher qualification for analysis according to the formative characteristics. As a result, works using diverse objects in terms of formative expression, and artistic values have improved. As a result, art makeup has become more complete and has increased artistic values. It is anticipated that this study would contribute to the growth of art makeup, the development of high-quality, creative artworks using diverse objects, and the prosperity of art and cosmetology.
