통일안보의식과 문화적 공감이 간호대학생의 문화적 역량에 미치는 영향

The influence of cultural empathy and of the consciousness of re-unification and national security on the cultural competency of nursing students

본 연구는 북한이탈 간호대학생과의 학습경험이라는 환경적 요소를 고려하면서 간호대학생의 통일안보의식과 문화적 공감 및 문화적 역량을 확인하고, 통일안보의식과 문화적 공감이 문화적 역량에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 수행되었다. 자가보고형 설문을 통해 1개월 동안 수집된 248명(북한이탈 간호대학생과의 학습경험을 가진 간호대학생 120명, 학습경험이 없는 128명)의 자료를 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS Statistics 25.0으로 기술통계, 독립표본 t검정(Independent t-test), 피어슨 상관계수, 단계적 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구 결과에서 북한이탈 간호대학생과의 학습경험에 따른 문화적 역량의 차이는 없었으며, 간호대학생은 문화적 역량보다 높은 문화적 공감을 보였다. 회귀모형에서 문화적 역량에 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 인지적 공감(β=.45), 안보 인식(β=.24), 대북정책 인식(β=.13), 통일교육(β=-.11)의 순이었고, 문화적 역량에 설명력은 33.3%였다. 간호대학생의 문화적 역량을 높이기 위해 인지적 공감 수준을 높이고, 안보 인식 강화를 위한 노력을 경주해야 한다.

This study was conducted to confirm the re-unification security consciousness, cultural empathy and cultural competence of nursing students and to identify the influencing factors of cultural competence. This study considered the environmental factor of learning experiences with North Korean nursing students. The data of 248 students (120 nursing students with learning experience with North Korean nursing students, 128 students without learning experience) collected through a self-reported questionnaire were analyzed. The data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 program with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. In the results of this study, there was no difference in cultural competency according to the learning experiences with North Korean nursing students, and nursing students showed higher cultural empathy than cultural competency. Factors that had a great influence on cultural competence in the regression model were cognitive empathy (β=.45), security awareness (β=.24), North Korea policy awareness (β=.13), and unification education (β=-.11). The influence was shown in the order of this factors. These four variables explained 33.3% of cultural competence.
