A Study on Infant s Response to Disability: Using Zhuang Zi fable s ‘Ataeta story’

본 연구는 장자우화 ‘애태타 이야기’를 유아교육기관 실제 적용 후, 활동전개에 따라 장애에 대한 유아들의 반응이 어떻게 나타나는지 알아보고자 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 서울시 S 유치원, 하늘반 만 5세 26명(남12명, 여14명)과 3년 경력의 담임교사이다. 연구절차는 2019년 9월 16일부터 2019년 10월 7일까지 ‘애태타 이야기’ 재구성동화에 기반한 전통 탈 인형극과 관련활동을 진행하였다. 연구 분석은 현장노트, 녹화자료, 교사면담, 유아포트폴리오 등을 통하여 선형 및 비선형 질적 연구방법을 실행하였다. 연구결과, ‘애태타 이야기’ 는 ‘같이 놀고 싶은 애태타에 대한 관심 표현하기’, ‘몸의 훈련을 통한 다양성 인정하기’, ‘긍정적으로 생각하고 수용하는 마음 나타내기’, ‘서로 도우며 더불어 살아가는 우리’로 확장되어 갔다. 장자우화 ‘애태타 이야기’는 장애에 대한 이해와 태도, 행동 등을 형성해 나가는데 중요한 인성교육의 하나가 됨을 알 수 있었다. 유아들은 다양한 활동 경험의 여정들 속에서 윤리와 실천, 가치와 신념 등 능동적인 경험을 지향하고 그 자체로 변화해 나감을 시사하고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to find out how infant s response to disability appear according to the development of activities after applying Zhuang Zi fable s ‘Ataeta story’ to actual educational institutions. Participants in the study are S kindergarten-age in Seoul, 26 students(12 males, 14 females) and 5 years old teacher in haneul class. The research procedure was conducted from September 16, 2019 to October 7, 2019, based on the ‘Ataeta Story’ reconstruction fairy tale and related activities. For the research analysis, linear and non-linear qualitative research methods were implemented through field notes, recorded data, teacher interviews, and infant portfolios. As a result of the study, ‘Ataeta story’ is expanded to ‘Expressing interest to Ataeta wanting to play together’, ‘Recognizing diversity through body training’, ‘Appealing a positive thinking and accepting mind’, ‘ helping Each other and living together . It was found that the Zhuang Zi fable s ‘Ataeta story’ is one of the most important character education in shaping the understanding, attitude, and behavior of the disabled. Infants are oriented toward active experiences such as ethics and practice, values and beliefs, and have change themselves in the journey of various activity experiences.
