Purpose: Kimura’s disease (KD) is a benign chronic inflammatory soft tissue disorder of unknown origin. It predominantly inflicts the head and neck of young male adults in Asia. However, orbit and ocular adnexa, especially lacrimal gland, involvement in KD is very rare. Case summary: Here we report characteristics of a very rare and unusual case of KD occurring in the lacrimal gland of a very aged female patient. Conclusion: The results of this case study indicate that KD should be considered as a differential diagnosis of lacrimal gland tumors in elderly patients.
