Transnational Migration and Value Formation of North Korean Defector Women: The Study on the Educational Experience of North Korea and the Migration and Experience in China and South Korea

본 연구의 목적은 북한이탈여성이 북한-중국-남한으로 초국적 이주 경험과 가치관 형성에 주는 함의를 살펴보는 데 있다. 북한에서 형성된 윤리교육 경험에는 어떤 것들이 있고, 탈북 및 제3국 체류과정에서 느낀 경험들이 가치관 형성에 어떤 의미를 가지는지, 남한 정착과정에서 지속·강화되거나 갈등하는 가치관 경험에는 어떤 것이 있는지에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 북한 및 북한이탈 단계에서는 학교에서의 국가이데올로기와 국가관 변화, 비공식 교육경험과 개인의식 변화, 계획경제 부분 작동과 경제윤리 갈등, 북한식 불평등 사회와 개인적 진로 고민, 가족단위 생계 유지를 통해 가치관의 형성을 살펴보았다. 중국에서의 생존 단계에서는 불법체류와 국가관·공민권 인식, 부정적 자본주의 경험, 생존과 안전의 인간 기본권 침해, 매매혼을 통한 가족 구성과 탈출구 모색을 통해 가치관 경험을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 북한과 제3국에서의 초국적 이주 경험이 남한 정착과정에서 가치관 형성에 주는 함의를 살펴보았다.

The purpose of this study is to look at the implications of North Korean defector women experiences in transnational migration to North Korea, China and South Korea, and the formation of a sense of values. This research wanted to look at what kind of values education experience was formed in North Korea, what kind of values experience they felt during their escape from the North and stay in a third country, and what kind of values experience is sustained, strengthened, or conflicted. In the phase of North Korea and North Korea s escape, we looked at the ethics education experience through changes in national ideology and state views in schools, informal education experience and changes of individual consciousness, partial operation of planned economy and conflict of economical ethics, North Korea s inequality society and conflict of personal career, and the maintenance of the livelihood of patriarchal family members. In the stage of survival in China, we looked at the ethics education experience through illegal immigration and recognition of state and civil rights, negative capitalist experience, violation of human basic rights of survival and safety, family composition through marriage of trade, personal life agony and search for escape. Finally, we looked at the implications of transnational migration experiences in North Korea and third countries in forming a sense of value in the process of settling in South Korea.
