유아 놀이성이 유아발달에 미치는 영향과 또래유능성의 매개효과

The mediating effect of peer competence on the relationship between development and playfulness in young children students

본 연구는 유아의 놀이성 및 또래유능성과 유아발달의 상관관계를 분석하고 놀이 성이 유아발달에 미치는 영향에 있어 또래유능성이 가지는 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. G지역 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 183명을 연구대상으로 예비조사, 본조사의 절차로 유아의 놀이성, 또래유능성과 유아발달에 관한 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 Pearson의 상관관계분석과 회귀분 석, 그리고 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 자료 분석 결과 첫째, 유아의 놀이성과 유아발 달, 놀이성과 또래유능성, 또래유능성과 유아발달은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적 상관 관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 놀이성은 유아발달을 의미 있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났으며, 이 과정에서 또래유능성이 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 유아발달을 돕는 데 놀이성과 또래유능성을 중요하게 고려해야 함을 알 수 있었 고, 놀이성과 또래유능성을 강화하기 위한 놀이중심 프로그램 운영의 중요성을 제시 하였다.

This study explored of peer competence on young children’ development and mediating effects of playfulness on the relationship between peer competence and young children’ development. The Children’s Playfulness Scale(Kim, 1996), The Peer Competence Inventory for Young Children(Park & Lee, 2001) and The Young Children’ Development Questionnaire(Lee, 2013) were administered to 183 young children(95 boys, 88 girls, 5 year of age). Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and sobel test using the computer program, SPSS/PC 21.0. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant positive relationships among peer competence, playfulness and young children’ development. Second, the young children’ playfulness has been shown to be a meaningful predictor of young children’ development, and in the process, peer abilities have a mediating effect.
