Purpose In modern society, companies are innovating their business processes through convergence using information technology to gain an edge in infinite competition, and expand the scope of the market by developing various products through convergence with other industries. The purpose of this study was to empirically study the effect of the mentoring system on the mentee s role ambiguity and turnover intention in the travel industry where convergence is actively taking place, and to study ways to lower turnover intention through mentoring Methods For empirical research, a survey was conducted on employees of the travel industry currently running the mentoring system. The survey was conducted non-face-to-face due to Corona 19, and a total of 210 questionnaires were distributed and 204 copies were collected, and a total of 199 copies were used for empirical analysis, excluding the 5 questionnaires that were answered unfaithfully. Results As a result of the study, career development and psychosocial support of travel industry employees had a significant negative effect on role ambiguity and It was found that career development, psychosocial support and role model had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. In addition, role ambiguity was studied to have a significant positive effect on turnover intention. Conclusion In the end, it was studied that mentoring can be used in the travel industry to lower the mentee s role ambiguity and turnover intention.
