This study analyzed a news framing confrontation between Qatar’s media and Saudi Arabian media, along with Korean media’s subsequent reframing. The study also analyzed citation and translation issues from recontextualization, that is, from the reframing perspective. The research method was classification of news texts by Al-Jazeera, Al-’Arabiyya, and Yonhap News—all related to Gulf Crisis—into three time points: the incident’s beginning, its crisis, and its current. The study then analyzed differences and changes in news frames among media and according to the time points. Results showed significant differences and changes. Al-Jazeera and Al-’Arabiyya viewed the incident from their respective countries’ viewpoints and constructed news frames representing their respective countries’ positions. Yonhap News reinterpreted the incident from a third-party perspective, reconstructing news frames to focus on the impact on their country and on their readers’ interest.
