소셜 미디어 이용과 시민성간의 관계에 대한 구조분석

Structure Analysis on Relation between Social Media and Civility: With a Focus on Mediation Effect of Internet Political Participation

본 논문의 목적은 소셜미디어 이용(페이스북, 트위터, 카카오톡, 팟캐스트, 블로그)이 인터넷 정치참여와 시민성(시민덕목, 질서준수)에 미치는 인과적 영향력을 분석검토하고 이들 변인들간의 관계를 다차원적으로 분석하는데 있다. 본 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 페이스북은 인터넷 정치참여에 정의 인과적 영향을 미치는 반면에, 시민성과는 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 트위터는 인터넷 정치참여에 정의 인과적 영향을 미치는 반면에, 시민성에는 유의미하지 않게 나타났다. 셋째, 카카오톡은 인터넷 정치참여, 시민덕목과 기초질서준수 모두 유의미하지 않게 나타났다. 넷째, 팟캐스트는 인터넷 정치참여와 시민덕목에 정의 인과적 영향을 미치는 반면에, 기초질서준수에는 부의 인과적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 블로그는 인터넷 정치참여에 정의 인과적 영향을 미치는 반면에 시민성과는 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 인터넷 정치참여는 시민덕목에 강한 정의 인과관계로 기초질서준수에 부의 인과관계로 나타났다. 일곱째, 인터넷 정치참여의 매개역할인데, 페이스북, 트위터, 팟캐스트, 블로그는 인터넷 정치참여를 매개로 시민덕목에 정의 영향을 미치는 반면에 기초질서준수에는 부의 영향으로 미친다는 사실이다. 마지막으로, 시민덕목과 기초질서준수사이의 상관관계는 별개의 현상으로 나타났지만, 분석에 사용된 변인들의 통제가 동시에 이루어진 상태에서의 인과관계분석에서는 시민덕목이 기초질서준수에 정의 인과적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과는 소셜미디어 이용, 개인성향, 인터넷 정치참여 변인들과 함께 연동하여 기초질서준수로 연결되어지고 있음을 알 수 있다.

The Purpose of this study is to analysis the impact of use of social media on internet political participation and civic virtue, and to analysis the multi-relation of those variables. The analysis results were the followings: First, The impact of Facebook and Tweeter on internet political participation were significant, while The impact of Facebook and Tweeter on civil virtue were not significant. Second, The impact of Cacaotok on internet political participation, civility, and order observance were not significant. Third, The impact of podcast on internet political participation and civil virtue civility were positively significant, while The impact of podcast on order observance were positive negatively significant. forth, The impact of blog on internet political participation were positively significant, while The impact of blog on civil virtue and order observance were not significant. fifth, The impact of internet political participation on civil virtue were positive significant, while The impact of internet political participation on order observance were negative significant. sixth, Social media via internet political participation were significant positive effect on civic virtue, While These were significant negative effect on order observance, Lastly, The impact of Civic virtue were not positive significant.
