공연예술 분야의 4차 산업혁명 기술 활용 방안

A Study on the Application of 4th Industrial Revolution Technology in Performing Arts: Focused on the analysis of studies of <Miyeoji-Baengdi>, <Man made> and expert interviews

최근 공연예술 분야의 변화 중 하나로 4차 산업기술이 접목된 융·복합공연 사례가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 정체된 국내 공연시장을 활성화하기 위한 시도라 할 수 있다. 더불어 신기술 반영은 관객의 몰입과 예술적 표현에도 도움이 되는 것이다. 그러나 아직까지 국내 융·복합공연 관련 연구는 활발하지 않다. 따라서 공연예술분야에 새로운 융·복합 기술 도입에 대한 현황과 활성화방안에 대해 사례연구와 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 알아보았다. 먼저 국내에서 진행되었던 융·복합공연인 <미여지뱅뒤>와 <맨 메이드>의 사례를 통해 성공적인 4차 산업혁명 기술 접목의 주요 사안들이 어떻게 적용되었는지 알아보았다. 그리고 공연예술분야 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 국내 융·복합공연의 현황과 전망 및 활성화방안에 대해 알아보았다. 연구 결과 응답자들은 융·복합공연의 활성화 방안으로 첫 번째, 기술개발과 인력양성 면에서 지속가능한 전략이 필요하다고 하였다. 두 번째, 관련 기관이나 기업의 지원과 투자를 언급했다. 그리고 마지막으로 융·복합공연에서 기술은 예술적 표현의 수단이며 공연의 본질은 예술에 있어야 한다는 것을 강조했다. 이러한 결과는 새로운 기술을 활용하는 공연산업과 실무적인 기획에 시사점을 제공하고 있다.

Recently, there have been more and more examples of arts combined with 4th industrial technology. In the field of performing arts, there are also a growing number of cases where fusion and combined technologies that are applied with 4th industrial technology. In this study, we analyzed the works of <Miyeoji-Baengdi> and <Man made> with framework of Case Study Methodology. In an interview with experts, we found there are three main factors regarding how to solve the problem and revitalize in fusion and combined performances. First, the existing personnel who has lack of understanding and consciousness in the performing arts field should recognize these changes and change their perception with continuous attempts and efforts to vitalize fusion and combined performances. Second, due to the prohibitive cost of developing and implementing technologies, active investment by government agencies and companies is needed to solve these problems. Then, it will be able to proceed smoothly in fusion and combined performances. Third, since there are few people in the performing arts world who understand the 4th industrial technology, there is necessary to establish systematic program and institution to educate these people. In Korea, it is still in its early stages and the system is still insufficient. But, I believe if the government keep trying to solve problems and making solutions, the market of fusion and combined performances will be expanded and new genres of performing arts will emerge.
