Purpose : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of a health program for community-dwelling elderly women that improves their perceived health status, Interpersonal relations, self-esteem, depression, cognitive function, and successful aging. Methods : A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used for this study. Elderly women who agreed to participate in this study were assigned to either an experimental group(n=45) or a control group(n=41). The health Management program was conducted once a week for 12 weeks. Study outcomes were measured by structured questionnaires from March, to June 2019. For data analysis, a chi-square test, an independent t-test, and Mann-Whitney U test were performed using SPSS version 23.0. Results : Interpersonal relations(z=-2.39, p=.017), depression(z=-2.27, p=.023), cognitive function(z=-4.47, p<.001), successful aging(t=2.22, p=.031) in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of elderly women in the control group. Conclusion : The health Management program was effective on Interpersonal relations, depression, cognitive function, and successful aging for elderly women in the community. It can be recommended as a public health program for the elderly population in the community.
